MHD control

Working with perishable products is part of everyday life in the convenience industry. COSYS offers the MHD control solution to keep the effort of the best-before date control low and to initiate follow-up processes easily.

Store the best-before dates already at goods receipt and let the software keep track of them from then on. Depending on how the goods are received, you can store the best before dates for batches, VPEs or EANs. Once stored, the information on the best before date is accessible to every employee and can be retrieved by scanning the EAN. If an article is approaching its best-before date, a note is sent to the employees responsible, indicating that it will soon expire. Subsequent processes such as price reduction or loss markdown can also be mapped transparently and traceably via COSYS software.

For each perishable item or batch there is a complete history in the COSYS WebDesk. The history shows every step of the process with time and further information such as the person who entered the data and the article data. The MHD control in the general merchandise trade has never been so easy!

The convenience store supply chain has to meet a number of things that other industries do not, such as delivering mixed pallets, maintaining cold chains, or meeting small time windows for delivery. Loading, routing and delivery need a well thought-out yet easy-to-execute concept to fill the shelves in convenience stores. For tours, the driver scans the tour number and sees all delivery bills for his trip on his MDE device. For delivery details, an overview is available showing all customers for that tour and which packages they will receive - in the optimal delivery order. For loading, each customer is assigned

assigned his goods with the corresponding quantity and also in which order the customers are delivered. This way, the driver knows which packages are loaded first and which last. The driver scans the items during loading and is immediately notified if there is a discrepancy with the delivery bill. If there is damage to an item, this is recorded via the photo and text function.

During delivery, drivers and customers are shown all delivery data and lists of goods on the MDE device, so all orders are always delivered in the correct quantity. To complete the delivery, the customer signs on the touchscreen of the mobile device. The photo function also enables depot deliveries in the event of a parking permit.

The status of each item is visible in the COSYS WebDesk. If a good is damaged, this is also noted in the COSYS WebDesk. Via the package history, you track every step from the package to the customer and can also determine exactly where a particular package was damaged. The clear main menu, in this case for a Full-Touch EDA 50, guides the driver through the processes. There are several order types such as order, invoice, delivery bill, invoice or return. All captured data in this solution is sent to any ERP systems via COSYS interfaces and master data is imported.

POS Order

In the Order module you can choose between with or without order proposal. Orders with an order proposal can be confirmed here on the spot when the goods are in front of you. If you notice in front of the shelf that article A is running low, you enter a new order. The data is transferred to the ERP system and finally processed there.

POS MHD control

To check the best-before date and change it if necessary, first enter the store where the item is located. Then scan the article and enter the best before date. In the overview behind the "List" icon, you can delete or edit the BBDs again.

Picking

The software version shown here works with picking against orders. First, the employee has to select one from the pending picking orders. Either he decides freely or you specify a prioritization, such as FIFO.

Stock transfer

If you want to transfer an item, scan the source bin, then the item number and enter the number of items to be transferred. When the new destination bin is reached and restocked, it is scanned and the stock transfer is posted.

Loading

For loading, the employee first opens the upcoming tour. Then he can enter one or more tour stops and gradually scan and load the packages for them. The green stands for completely scanned and loaded. If there are missing quantities, the items are highlighted in orange.

Delivery

For the delivery, the employee selects the customer in the first module screen and scans the items in the next screen. To complete the process, the customer signs the delivery on the PDC device.

Inventory

In the left standard version, the employee first enters his entry number. Then he scans the counting place (counting place labels are also available at COSYS) and scans the articles one by one. To start a new counting place, this is simply scanned.

Which devices are suitable for mobile data collection?

All MDE devices or smartphones that have Android or iOS as operating system. Windows is still conditionally possible, but not recommended, because Windows Mobile is no longer supported. We can clarify exactly which brand and model suits you in a personal conversation.

Are there leasing models for MDE hardware?

Yes, as long as you want. The advantage of leasing is the low acquisition cost and the fact that you don´t have to worry about repairs, warranty claims and other problems. Depending on the leasing contract, you will receive replacement equipment from us in the event of breakdowns.

Can the mobile software be connected to ERP systems?

Yes. We offer a wide range of options for creating data exchange via interfaces. Successfully in use are interfaces to: weclapp, SAGE, Sangross, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP and more.

How long does it take to implement mobile logistics software?

This depends on the scope of the solution and when we receive order data, article data and other information from you. A standardized solution with a known interface is implemented from our side in a few weeks. If you buy several modules, we simply start with the most important one, which means that COSYS solution can be used quickly even for large projects.

Is it possible to track MHDs and temperatures?

Yes. For the convenience industry, such data is important and we have taken this into account in our solution.
