Mobile ERP interface for SAP Serkem
When technologically complementary solution partners, such as an ERP company and a system integrator for mobile data capture (MDE) and barcode systems, find each other, this is not unusual. If the strategic industry focus overlaps and the company organization harmonizes - one can say: "the chemistry is right".
In order to meet the increased requirements for real-time/online bookings in SAP also in the future (in the field), all COSYS PDC modules for SAP (e.g. PDC goods receipt, storage location booking, shipping picking) are implemented using ITS-Mobile. The implementation is thus done directly in SAP - without affecting the modularity and configurability of the COSYS MDE modules. Another advantage is that all processes run purely browser-based on an end device and the development of transactions and screens takes place exclusively in SAP on the basis of SERKEM templates. These can also be further developed by the end customer. For example, standard BAPIs are used for material movements. All bookings, checks of material master and personnel number, current stock, etc. are posted online, i.e. "real-time in SAP" and the evaluations can be run via the SAP standard functionalities.
COSYS standard solutions for SAP
Another focus is the extension of complex SAP system landscapes with proven COSYS standard solutions from other proven areas, such as a MDE software client for mobile signature capture . If WLAN is not 100% available, a "manual" backup scenario is not sufficient, as the scanner does not buffer any data, but is merely an SAP input device. If the SAP connection of the COSYS modules takes place via RFC/web services, real-time online bookings in SAP from the mobile device are also possible if there is no complete WLAN coverage at your location (e.g. external warehouse) or your devices and employees are in field service.With the connection via web services, work is done with the COSYS MDE software locally on the MDE device in offline/online mixed operation. The COSYS MDE software and the COSYS web service communicate with the Serkem RFC modules.
