In an age of networked production processes and global supply chains, the precise tracking of individual product components in production processes is becoming confusing. To keep your company competitive in Industrie 4.0 despite this challenge, optimizing all processes is the only sensible solution. To ensure that the design of production in your company remains efficient and can meet future challenges, we at COSYS offer you our component tracking solution. The core task of the tracking software is to record the accrued processes and work steps in the production chain.
Through our experience and expertise, we make your production most efficient and ensure a continuous improvement process so that your products have the best quality on the market.
With the help of stationary registration units (e.g. part identification systems in production lines or SCAN gates in the production warehouse and at the loading ramps) with powerful readers, parts and goods are registered. Data capture and data transfer of multiple codes is done simultaneously and can be easily processed and posted in the database of the ERP/LVS/MES system by the COSYS Fusion software. All parts can be captured with handheld, MDE device or smartphone by the COSYS MDE software (e.g. for manual removal for assembly, capture of very large parts etc.).

Our tracking solution consists of COSYS modules for software and hardware components originating from the mobile and back office area. All COSYS modules are in a continuous network connection and enable accurate tracking of your production parts through identification, QA or machine data. This requires MDE devices and radio scanners with our COSYS solution. These are used by your production workers to track all product components on the store floor using a barcode scan. Through our experience and expertise, we make your production most efficient and ensure a continuous improvement process so that your products have the best quality in the market.
In order to store, evaluate and analyze all captured data in a central management point, COSYS provides the appropriate applications and components for tracking the product chain. These include elements for managing captured data such as in the COSYS WebDesk, software for communication between end-user devices and management software, as well as MDE, handheld or fixed mount scanner hardware for component identification. You also have the option of generating or correcting data records at the workstation or in production if network availability is available. Trust in our experience and competence and have your entire processes precisely mapped with the help of our software modules.
Your company receives raw materials or components. These may be marked with a barcode to identify the material. If this is not the case, the first step is to provide the raw materials and components with serial numbers that enable subsequent identification of the materials during the production processes. After each workpiece has been provided with a unique serial number, these are introduced into the production chain. From this point on, if all the important specifications of the work processes are observed, successful component traceability can be guaranteed. Subsequently, each work step through which the component passes is precisely documented. It is continuously possible to remove components from the chain or to document the reworking of a component.
Each work step during value creation requires the three main components user, device (machine) and component (component serial number). During part capture, each user is uniquely assigned to a data capture device. Barcodes on the parts are captured with a data capture device and assigned to a unique user. This user is assigned to a fixture (machine) where the user will inspect the component for quality. During the machining process, the serial numbers (barcodes) of the parts are then captured at specific points in time.
From the resulting results, information about the period/time when the user has processed the part on a certain device (machine) is obtained. By adding the part status (i. O. / n. O. / rework), it becomes clear whether the part will go through the further processing of the part types in production, whether it will be reworked or whether the part will leave the production chain. In combination with machine data provided by the fixture, the logging of possible quality criteria is guaranteed.
This check takes place in a period of time defined by the device and, if there is a time stamp, it is added to the records already noted in the database.
Ongoing improvement of your quality management can be ensured by networking the described processes on the basis of component traceability.
