Basically, all COSYS solutions work the same way: All data about goods movements, inventories or orders are recorded via MDE device or smartphone by means of a barcode scan. The COSYS software on the MDE devices or smartphones is divided into different software modules, such as goods receipt, stock transfer and returns in warehouse management. The captured data is communicated to the COSYS backend in real time after the scan. The backend can be hosted either classically at COSYS directly as a cloud or, if you wish, directly at your site. On Premiseif you want direct physical access to your servers. You can access all your data via the browser-based COSYS WebDesk using an Internet browser. The backend can also be connected to your ERP system, so that you always have the latest data and information centrally. Some of the supported ERP systems are Weclapp, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage and SAP.
Even after your solution has successfully gone live, COSYS remains at your side for any software or hardware issues. Working with perishable products is part of everyday life in the convenience industry. COSYS offers the MHD control solution to keep the effort of the best-before date control low and to initiate follow-up processes easily.
Store the best-before dates already at goods receipt and let the software keep track of them from then on. Depending on how the goods are received, you can store the best before dates for batches, VPEs or EANs. Once stored, the information on the best before date is accessible to every employee and can be retrieved by scanning the EAN. If an article is approaching its best-before date, a note is sent to the employees responsible, indicating that it will soon expire. Subsequent processes such as price reduction or loss markdown can also be mapped transparently and traceably via COSYS software.
For each perishable item or batch there is a complete history in the COSYS WebDesk. The history shows every step of the process with time and further information such as the person who entered the data and the article data. The MHD control in the general merchandise trade has never been so easy!
The convenience store supply chain has to meet a number of things that other industries do not, such as delivering mixed pallets, maintaining cold chains, or meeting small time windows for delivery. Loading, routing and delivery need a well thought-out yet easy-to-execute concept to fill the shelves in convenience stores. For tours, the driver scans the tour number and sees all delivery bills for his trip on his MDE device. For delivery details, an overview is available showing all customers for that tour and which packages they will receive - in the optimal delivery order. For loading, each customer is assigned
assigned his goods with the corresponding quantity and also in which order the customers are delivered. This way, the driver knows which packages are loaded first and which last. The driver scans the items during loading and is immediately notified if there is a discrepancy with the delivery bill. If there is damage to an item, this is recorded via the photo and text function.
During delivery, drivers and customers are shown all delivery data and lists of goods on the MDE device, so all orders are always delivered in the correct quantity. To complete the delivery, the customer signs on the touchscreen of the mobile device. The photo function also enables depot deliveries in the event of a parking permit.
The status of each item is visible in the COSYS WebDesk. If a good is damaged, this is also noted in the COSYS WebDesk. Via the package history, you track every step from the package to the customer and can also determine exactly where a particular package was damaged.
