COSYS WebDesk Software
COSYS WebDesk is a proprietary development of COSYS Ident GmbH and is the logical complement to the company's mobile application portfolio.
In all mobile business processes, such as goods receipt, inventory, stock transfer, batch tracking, parcel management, return, ordering and sales processes, large amounts of data are captured, which can then be post-processed, evaluated or archived in the backend, the COSYS WebDesk. The optimization of mobile data collection is also possible via WebDesk, so that picking orders can be assigned to users, shipping processes can be completed, and bottlenecks in the processing of orders can be detected at an early stage via statistics and progress reports, and appropriate countermeasures can be initiated.
What is the COSYS WebDesk?
The WebDesk is a web-based administration and post-processing software, in which optionally also production/customer orders can be created and provided for MDE devices. The COSYS WebDesk can be hosted on-premise on virtual/physical local servers or in the customer's COSYS Cloud/Cloud systems. In doing so, the system can be used to manage a single company site as well as additional sites. The advantage of COSYS WebDesk is the extensive and group-based management, central administration and maintenance of users and modules. The data can be recorded with a MDE device and/or in the WebDesk. But what are the advantages compared to desktop applications? No additional files on your computer, data access from everywhere possible and a lower maintenance effort - not to forget transparency and up-to-date data.

In production, the management of intra-logistics is often a bottleneck. COSYS also offers suitable solutions for this, which are implemented by means of an intelligent interlocking of PDC recording and WebDesk management. In this way, goods receipts for unfinished parts can be booked or canceled in production, finished goods notifications can be created for shipping, and goods from external work can be received. The recorded data can then be visualized via the WebDesk, so that the progress in production and bottlenecks in the production warehouses can be recognized at an early stage and countermeasures can be taken accordingly. Standardized modules for component tracking are also available for production, and component tracking via storage bins is also possible.
For the transport sector, for example, there are specific modules in which the progress (track and trace) of a package / a shipment is displayed. Tours and restart points can also be managed and monitored via the WebDesk. Special WebDesk functions are used to manage critical warehouses, such as spare parts warehouses for production lines. For example, reorder points can be set up and an evaluation of consumption can be created and exported. The WebDesk can also take over control functions for loading/shipping completion notifications. In many cases, the tracking number of the shipping service provider is compared with the order number in the ERP system. In the retail area, inventories for filling operations, CAPI surveys, and merchandising actions can be triggered. WebDesk can also provide support in shelf replenishment, visualizing 'top sellers' and 'bottom sellers' and showing gaps in the shelves.The aim of the various possible uses of WebDesk is always to present the data collected transparently, to provide decision-makers with fast response times, and thus to ensure efficient processes.
